Dear friends and neighbors:

Thank you for the opportunity to allow me to represent you as your Representative in District 51 during this legislative session.  I am pleased to announce that I am campaigning again for the House and am beginning the process to become a qualified candidate.   

To qualify for the Maine Clean Election Fund I need to collect 60 $5 checks.  I am excited to inform you that you can donate online this year using a safe and secure website.  It takes just a few minutes and is extremely easy.  To donate to my Clean Election Fund you must live in my district.  At the bottom of this email is the list of towns in House District 51.

Below are the directions for online donations:

First, go to http://www.state.me.us/ethics/

1.  Go to the heading "ONLINE SERVICES" in the list of links on the left hand side of the screen and select "Qualifying Contributions".

2. This will bring you to the first step to make an online qualifying contribution.
3. At the bottom of the screen, click on "Make a Contribution to a Candidate" and click "GO".
4. Then just follow the directions to make a contribution to support my candidacy.

Please note: If spouses want to make individual qualifying contributions to my campaign using the same debit/credit card, each person will have to make a separate contribution and acknowledgement.

If you would like to send a $5 contribution with a personal check, please do the following:

·        Make the check payable to MAINE CLEAN ELECTION FUND (personal accounts only)

Spouses together can make the check out for $10, but the account must be a joint personal account.

·        Please print the Receipt and Acknowledgement Form, here -   Receipt_and_Acknowledgement.pdf

Each person making a contribution must sign the form, spouses sign on separate lines and no one can sign for each other.

In addition to the $5 checks, I am also gathering “Seed Money” which is an initial $500.00 worth of contributions that will be made directly to my are a few of the stipulations for Seed Money donations:

• Individuals may make seed money contributions up to $100
• Spouses together can make one contribution up to $200 per check, but the check needs to be a joint personal account.
• All Seed money contributions must be from the personal funds of the individual.
